22 Wing/CFB North Bay

There were 497 regular military, 68 reserve Class A and B forces and 47 civilian workers at 22 Wing North Bay at the end of December 2005.

Present Functions

The current functions of 22 Wing/CFB North Bay are to provide:

  • surveillance, identification, control and warning for aerospace defence,
  • support to reserve forces and cadets in the region.
Operational & Support Units
  • 21 Aerospace Control and Warning Squadron,
  • 51 Aerospace Control and Warning Operational Training Squadron,
  • 722 Support Squadron (USAF),
  • 1 Dental Unit Detachment North Bay,
  • 24 CF Health Services Centre Detachment,
  • Canadian Forces Housing Agency,
