There were 497 regular military, 68 reserve Class A and B forces and 47 civilian workers at 22 Wing North Bay at the end of December 2005.
Present Functions
The current functions of 22 Wing/CFB North Bay are to provide:
- surveillance, identification, control and warning for aerospace defence,
- support to reserve forces and cadets in the region.

- 21 Aerospace Control and Warning Squadron,
- 51 Aerospace Control and Warning Operational Training Squadron,
- 722 Support Squadron (USAF),
- 1 Dental Unit Detachment North Bay,
- 24 CF Health Services Centre Detachment,
- Canadian Forces Housing Agency,
