1. Bedford Armoury

The armoury will be home to three Military Police Unit Headquarters and 30 Military Police Company.

2. Construction of a New Steam Central Heating Plant at Shearwater

This project will construct a new steam central heating plant with three boilers with multi-fuel capability, which will be connected to the existing steam distribution infrastructure at Shearwater. The new steam plant will meet the long-term steam and heating requirements sites of the Shearwater site.

Completed CFDS Infrastructure Projects

1. Housing Renovation

DND completed the renovation of 18 housing units for Canadian Forces members at 12 Wing Shearwater. The renovations increased the living area in these homes - in some cases, doubling the living space - and included an additional bedroom, a new kitchen and new bathroom. Other upgrades include updated and new exterior cladding. The construction contract for $3.2 million was awarded to Blunden Construction Ltd of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
