1. Mess Building
The new Mess Building at 19 Wing Comox will serve all the personnel of 19 Wing, providing three daily meals and a large dining area. The building will include three distinct mess halls - an Officer's mess, a Non-Commissioned Member's mess and a Senior Non-Commissioned Member's mess - and a multi-purpose conference room. This new Mess Building updates the existing kitchen facilities, which are aging and have become increasingly difficult to maintain.

2. Construction of a new Health Services Centre
This project will see the construction of a single, purpose-built, 4,066 m² Health Services Centre at 19 Wing Comox. The project also includes the demolition of the existing health care facility at the wing.

Completed CFDS Infrastructure Projects
1. New Canex Building
CANEX, the retailer for Canadian Forces Personnel and Family Support Services, has awarded a contract for approx. $4.3 million to Georgia View Ventures of Nanaimo, B.C., for the construction of a new building at 19 Wing Comox. This building will house a CANEX store, which meets the needs of the military community.

2. Wing Auxiliary Security Force Addition to Building 194
The project moved the Wing Auxiliary Security Force (WASF) operations centre and the Small Arms Trainer (SAT) facility, to a new addition to the Military Police (MP) Operations Centre, B194. The addition is a one-storey wood frame structure with a facility for the SAT, a classroom/training area, and lockers and storage for WASF equipment. The project also provided necessary structural and electrical/controls upgrades to the existing facility to provide for this and future expansions.
