4 Wing Cold Lake

1. Underground Utilities and Roads Upgrade

This project will upgrade all private married quarters residential underground utilities and roads at 4 Wing Cold Lake

2. Renovation of Building 171

This project involves the construction of a 540 m² second-floor onto building 171, to house all offices of Wing Supply Headquarters. By co-locating these offices in one building, this facility will allow for improvements to supply-related issues. This project also includes a number of renovations and upgrades on the first floor of Building 171 to the current clothing stores section, ductwork and air handling units, the electrical distribution system, telecommunications infrastructure, fire suppression systems, flooring, and flooring. Also included is the construction of a combined conference and training room in building 171. These renovations will increase the Wing’s capacity for administration and training purposes.

Completed CFDS Infrastructure Projects

1. Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants dispensing system Upgrade

This construction replaced the existing petroleum, oil and lubricants dispensing system, and upgrade the aviation refuelling facility to meet the required environmental standards.

 2. Upgrade Underground Utilities and Roads

The utilities and roads were upgraded to meet the current needs of the Wing, and ensure their longevity.  Phase 1 focused primarily on the systems located at the main entry to the Wing.

3. Relocate Aviation Fuel Tank

This project relocated an existing aviation fuel tank from 4 Wing ‘tactical’ tank farm to 4 Wing Base Side tank farm.
