3 Wing Bagotville

1. New Transport and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Services Garage

In support of the modernization of airfield-related infrastructure at 3 Wing Bagotville will provide a 5,638 m2 garage for transport and electrical and mechanical services, including the storage of snow removal and ice control equipment for the runway.

2. New Airfield Lighting Power Centre facility

This project forms part of the continuous infrastructure and equipment investment program which ensures the operational capabilities of all Canadian Forces airfields. It is estimated that this project will generate approx. 24 direct employment opportunities.

3. Provisional office space

This project consists of purchasing and installing prefabricated modular units in order to provide provisional spaces over an estimated area of 1,250 m2 . This will help remedy the lack of infrastructure at 3 Wing Bagotville, and will support the 1,300 military and 200 civilian personnel at the wing.

1. Resurfacing of runway 11/29

The resurfacing of runway 11/29 was necessary when the runway was damaged over time by the harsh winters of the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region.
