Train and Educate
"Canadians can take pride in having one of the most professional and best-trained militaries in the world. We take thousands of Canadians. We give them a trade, a qualification or an education. We train them to display incredible management, analytical, planning and technical skills. We make them leaders."
General Walt Natynczyk, Chief of Defence Staff
The Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces (CF)
are committed to ensuring that all CF members develop their full professional and
intellectual potential. The Canadian public has very high demands and expectations
of the Canadian Forces. Along with performing traditional combat roles, CF
personnel are also required to be diplomats, humanitarians and technical experts in
a variety of fields.
The Canadian Defence Academy (CDA) champions lifelong learning through the implementation of coherent, integrated, academically rigorous and accredited education and professional development programs.
