Health Services
"Canadian Forces members will always be our most important assets. Their morale and welfare is paramount to maintaining capable forces ready to serve their country at home and abroad."
Major-General Semianiw, Chief of Military Personnel
Canadian Forces Health Services (CFHS) is the designated health care provider for Canadian Forces personnel, delivering medical and dental services at military installations across Canada and overseas. CFHS personnel are highly trained professionals, be they in uniform or civilians, who have been recognized for their excellence around the world.
The CF is legally responsible for delivering health services under the National Defence Act, which stipulates that the Department of National Defence must provide appropriate care to Canada's military personnel. The CF also feels a strong moral obligation to provide care to its personnel. In return for their commitment and unlimited liability to serve, Canada's military personnel deserve the best care and support possible.
